Stephany Yu is the Founder and General Partner at Sunwater Capital, a North Bethesda-based investment firm focused on real estate, healthcare, and data in the US and overseas. With over 18 years of experience in real estate development and investment, she has led the creation of more than 36 million square feet in residential, commercial, and retail property in both markets. She is also the Founder and chairman of Greencourt Group, a Shanghai-based real estate company that was an early pioneer in the development of Shanghai's suburban area. 

Ms. Yu is passionate about entrepreneurship, innovation, and societal impact. She is the Founder and Chairman of Yuan Foundation, a non-profit organization that supports education, culture, and community development for the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community in Maryland. She is also the Chairman of the International Leadership Foundation Entrepreneurship & Innovation Committee, which fosters leadership and entrepreneurship among young AAPI professional. Ms. Yu is a Board Memeber and Visiting Professor of Fudan University's School of Economics and is the Co-CEO of its Alumni Association. She holds a Master's and a Bachelor's Degree in economics from Fudan University.

Matthew Chervenak is an entrepreneur and investor in healthcare, data, real estate, and public policy.

Mr. Chervenak is a founder and General Partner of Sunwater Capital. He is the founder and President of the Sunwater Institute, a think tank focused on exploring fundamental ideas for a more prosperous society.

Mr. Chervenak founded and was the CEO of GBI, a data and analytics company serving the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. Prior to his entrepreneurial and investment activities, Mr. Chervenak worked as a strategy consultant and conducted neuroscience research.

Mr. Lavinthal is Managing Director and General Counsel of Sunwater Capital. Mr. Lavinthal handles a variety of issues for Sunwater including legal matters, deal management, operations, and estate planning. Prior to joining Sunwater, Mr. Lavinthal managed the legal departments of GBI, an intelligence company focused on the pharmaceutical and medical device industries, and UrbanDaddy, a New York-based media and commerce company. Before joining UrbanDaddy, Mr. Lavinthal engaged in complex cases in corporate governance, internal investigations, reinsurance, intellectual property, and general commercial disputes at Willkie Farr & Gallagher.

Ms. Gualino is Chief Financial Officer at Sunwater Capital. Ms. Gualino has extensive experience structuring transactions and managing the complexity of international taxation. Prior to joining Sunwater, Ms. Gualino led international tax at American Capital, structured investments and performed due diligence at PwC and at KPMG and developed cross-border tax strategies at Diageo. Ms. Gualino holds a B.S. in accounting from New York University, where she also earned an MBA in finance and tax.  She holds active CPA licenses in New Jersey and Virginia.

Mr. Bulloch is the Managing Director of Real Estate for Sunwater Capital.  He manages Sunwater's portfolio of real estate developments and investments and oversees our asset & property management departments.  Prior to joining Sunwater, he was the Executive Vice President and Partner for 12 years with Streetscape Partners / Michael Harris Homes where he led all aspects of the firms' work.  Mr. Bulloch earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Edinburgh and his master's degree from MIT.

Ms. Sansing is the Controller at Sunwater Capital. Her responsibilities include the oversight and execution of accounting operations, financial reporting, and enterprise risk management. In her career, Ms. Sansing led audit and assurance engagements with Deloitte & Touche and most recently held the role of CFO at Storyblocks. Ms. Sansing earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting and Masters in Accounting from James Madison University. She holds a CPA license in Virginia and Maryland.

Mina is a Project Manager, supporting the design and planning of construction projects. Before working with Sunwater Capital, Mina worked as a General Manager in a construction company where she worked on residential and small commercial projects, such as new constructions, renovations, and additions. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Marywood University.

Her education and experience in architecture and construction make her well-suited for her current role as Project Manager, where she can apply her knowledge and skills to oversee and manage the design and construction of projects. 

Ms. Zhuang is the Financial Analyst at Sunwater Capital. Working with the CFO and the rest of the finance team, Ms. Zhuang focuses on the financial planning and analysis across Sunwater’s investment portfolio. Her responsibilities include modeling and analytical support for acquisition, financing, leasing, and operating strategies, as well as assisting in due diligence, valuation, and market analysis. Prior to joining Sunwater, Ms. Zhuang worked as a financial analyst for an asset management firm. Ms. Zhuang holds master’s degrees in Finance and Personal Financial Planning from University of Missouri-Columbia. She is expecting her Master of Accountancy Degree from George Washington University in May 2023.

Ms. Yang is a Senior Accountant with Sunwater Capital. She assists with the accounting, reporting, treasury, budgeting, and controls for the Sunwater Insitute, Yuan Foundation, ViiNet, AllSci, and Reframe Data Services. Spencer earned her Bachelor's in Accounting and her Master's in Accounting with a focus on Internal Audit. Before joining Sunwater, Spencer worked for BDO USA P.C., and Deloitte & Touche. 

Ms. Dang is a Staff Accountant with Sunwater Capital. Working with Finance and Accounting department leadership, her responsibilities include assisting with financial accounting, treasury operations, and financial reporting. Before joining Sunwater, Ms. Dang worked as Staff Accountant at a CPA firm where she provided tax, accounting, and payroll services for small businesses and individuals. Ms. Dang holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and a Master’s degree in Finance and Accounting Management.

Mr. Anselmi serves as Corporate Counsel for Sunwater Capital. He works within Sunwater's Legal department to manage day-to-day transactions, administrative processes, and compliance and corporate governance matters. Before joining Sunwater, Mr. Anselmi practiced real estate law with firms in Maryland and New York City. Mr. Anselmi recieved his Juris Doctor degree from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Colgate University.
